| X4088 To G {Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} /WFH. from Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to ROY. {Mr H. Royce - Buyer} Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 2/LG23.1.29. With reference to your G {Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} /WFH/CALO/ES22.1.29. We have received the parts in question. All the parts with the suffix 'P' denote an experimental improvement to the gauge which we are testing out, before putting same on production. To save delay Messrs. Hobson sent these parts before they received a covering order, although we asked them to advise us before they did so. Will ROY. {Mr H. Royce - Buyer} please issue the necessary covering order. We think we should point out to Messrs. Hobson that the price of £2 for the tank unit is rather excessive - possibly this is due to it being the first of its type.
