Bentley Petrol Tank.

We send you herewith drawing:

LeC.3700 showing a pot fixed to the bottom of the petrol tank to prevent the petrol surging when the tank contains something less than 4 gallons of fuel.

This is necessary in order to prevent the erratic working of the petrol pump.

This modification can only be fitted to tanks that are not built up. Should it be desired to fit a device of this type to tanks that are already made we agree to use the design which was made up by the Experimental Department which consists of a sheet metal pot sweated to the bottom of the suction pipes and withdrawable from the top of the tank.
