Company, East Works, Bordesley Green Road, Adderley Park, B'ham. For the attention of Mr. Skinner. Dear Sirs, There are one or two points we would like to mention with regard to the petrol pumps you are supplying to us. (1) We think it will be better if you do not cut quite so much away from the Bakelite end plate for rocker clearance. We would like as much left on as possible without interfering with the rocker, as it makes a better location for the end cover, which at present has excessive movement even with the retaining nut tightened. It also appears that the end plates are trimmed by hand after the portion for rocker clearance is cut away. Will you please get these a little more symetrical, at present these are very uneven. (2) The reach nuts fitted are far too tight on the 2 BA studs, requiring a spanner on them for the whole length of stud. (3) Will you please see that when fitting the pumps to the casting that the position of the fuse holders is vertical, fuse being at the top. We realise that the first two pumps were rushed through for us, and that you may have already rectified the points we have raised. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
