a 12-volt 75-80 ampere hour battery in two 6-volt units in box placed in the rear of frame, a starter motor with main and auxiliary relay operated switch unit, etc".
P.48. Dynamo. 2nd paragraph.
"It is of the single field winding and third brush type, which, when connected to a battery, is controlled by armature flux distortion so as to generate current of amount suited to the needs of the system at the varying speeds at which it is driven."
P.53. Switchbox.
OFF - No circuits in action.
S & T - Side and tail lamps on.
H, S & T - Head, side and tail lamps on.
M & B - Magneto and battery ignition on. This position of the ignition and charge switch is provided to enable the advantages of running on both ignitions simultaneously to be realised when it is not required for the battery to be on charge.
There is a small auxiliary switch on the instrument board by which the magneto can, for purposes of testing the battery ignition, be put out of action. This is only effective in the M & B and M,B & C positions of the switch.
M, B & C - As previously.
M & C - As previously.
P.54. Ammeter. Suggest the sentence "An unnoticed reversal of the ammeter connections causes the charge and discharge indications to be reversed" be taken out.
