-2- of the cars destined for the Continental market. It is difficult to find various articles of good quality, and even these have to be modified by ourselves. With respect to the cars destined for England, I would be glad if you would give me the accessories, and if you would have sent to me the direction indicators which are agreed upon, in order to provide for their inclusion. For the standard Bentleys for Mr. Sleator, I have put in hand the designs on the lines of 12.B.5. and have helped in the construction of the full size drawing, and their actual construction will begin from Monday morning next. For these cars, the chassis which you will send us for them, will they be accompanied by Cornercroft rear number plates ? Please give us information on this point as soon as possible. Mr.Sleator has sent you a request for heaters, which it is necessary to fit to these cars, and also wireless sets which are also indispensable. For the standard Bentley it is also necessary for us to receive the interiors for the wing lamps. With respect to the designs which you have asked of me, I have begun whilst awaiting your order of precedence the designs of the steering wheels, and have finished the medallion, which I will have sent to you very soon. Also I am putting myself in personal touch with certain persons in order to visit them and get information on the manufacture of the Monocoque motor cars, Citroen and Renault (Juvaquartre) in order to compare them with my own personal ideas. Be it understood that no-one will know for what purpose I am interesting myself in these articles. Always be sure of my discretion. As you will see dear Mr.Evernden, every minute counts and the days are very short. I would now like to ask you if it is possible when the first Corniche comes back to France if you could give instructions in order that I might go on the car for a few hours in the course of its experimental test, in order that I may be able to report on its road ability, and that I may feel for myself what the car is like to drive, which I feel is indispensable for the perfection of the prototype and in the interest of the cars that have to follow.
