Dear Mr. Evernden,

According to your request, I am sending you a short account of the state of my work up-to-date, as I intend to do each week-end.

On my return I have had to check over the form jigs necessary for making the panels of the "Corniche" which I had instructed before my departure. These form jigs include all the front of the car, the wings, the bonnet, the valance around the lamps, the place for the radiator grille and the centre lamp etc.

This work is finished and well carried out. M.Chauirere has thoroughly understood everything, and the panels are in full course of construction on this jig which is demountable and permits of the workers each one to have their own part, yet with it to make an assembly which will avoid errors. As to the rear wings, they are also in course of construction by the same method, and the panel beaters at the moment are working 60 hours a week. I will have a photograph sent to you of this forming jig very shortly.

The body frames of the other Corniches are also under construction, and I am paying great attention to the question of reduction of weight, and awaiting with impatience the reports which will be coming to me of the trials of the first car i.e. the car which is going to return to France at Chateauroux.

There is still a lot of work to be done to perfect the job, and the practicability of the accessories such as, the convenience of opening the doors which is now overcome. I am following up assiduously the manufacture of French accessories for the equipment

Cont'd.....
