6077. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.5/MA.6.7.33. SHOCKS OFF BENTLEY PUSH BUTTON FOR DUAL HORNS. As verbally reported to you we have received several shocks from the push button switch on the Blue Bentley. No one has complained of receiving shocks from any of the other cars and we have examined the wiring diagram to see what possibility there is of receiving shocks from the horn button and so far we can offer no explanation at all other than, the button on the Blue Bentley must be imperfectly earthed. We suggest however to avoid any further recurrence of trouble which might occur in isolated cases on other chassis that the horn button be made of an insulated material.
