X6041 Ry. from EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 4/AD6.11.30. X.6041. CUT-OUT WITH SERIES WINDING OF ONE GAUGE COARSER WIRE. (14 S.W.G. .080 in place of 15 SWG .072) Will you please arrange to instruct for experiment in connection with the increased output dynamos (40/50 and 20/25), a cut-out with standard shunt winding but with series winding of one gauge coarser wire (i.e. 14 SWG .080 in place of 15 SWG .072) the number of turns proportionally reduced to the increase of total cross sectional area. The object of this experiment is to reduce the heating effect on the cut-out which has been somewhat increased by the increase of dynamo output though not to an extent to cause any alarm. Will you please instruct this cut-out to be fitted for experimentaltest to one of our long distribution boxes which we have in here and which is available for such a purpose. EFC. {E.
