INSTRUCTIONS
To: Mr Wormald.
Date: December 9th 1913.
Order No.: re Rudge. Whitworth Wheels.
Customer's No.: X421
We find that in the majority of repair cars fitted with R.W. wheels of the old type, ie, with the Reys formed on the hubs, the wheels have not been kept properly tight & thus the Reys & Reyways in the hub shell have become slack, causing a loud click on each occasion when the car is accelerated after application of the foot brakes.
We have only known a few cases where it has been difficult to remove the wheels from the hubs, but in each of these cases the reason has been that the shell has become rusted on the hub, due to lack of grease when they were.
