Complaint regarding loose wire retaining nuts on a Bentley petrol pump.

BENTLEY PETROL PUMP WIRE RETAINING NUTS. Re. the above. We have had a complaint from C. stating that during a trial run the wire Bakelite retaining nuts worked loose, allowing the wires to come up and so break contact, the pumps then ceasing to function. We can see no reason for this happening other than these nuts not being properly screwed down before despatch, as the small retaining spring between the fuse and the nut is strong enough to prevent this; also the nuts are fairly tight on the thread.
