Dear Sirs,

We are in receipt of your letter of the 13th instant, and note that you are in agreement with our suggestion that in future, where Telecontrol shock absorbers are fitted, we will fit the control units, etc., after the body has been completed.

Regarding the question of the type of shock absorber, we are quite willing to meet your requirements by keeping a set of the cable type Telecontrol shock absorbers in stock; we think, however, you will find that there will be some complication over this, as we are at present advertising and pushing the Hydro Telecontrol type, and it is quite possible that if any of your customers require distant control shock absorbers, and afterwards find that an obsolete pattern has been fitted, some trouble might arise.

We would point out that we dropped the cable operated type owing to trouble experienced with the stretching of the cables, which allowed the shock absorbers to be out of adjustment one with the other, and limited the amount of pressure that could be applied.

With the Hydro Telecontrol type, it is impossible for the shock absorbers to be out of balance one with the other, and they are very much easier to fit, also a definite indication of the pressure on the shock absorbers is afforded by the two gauges.

If your engineers could have an opportunity of trying the new type, they will agree that it is a very great improvement over the type which you have, so far, been fitting.

Yours faithfully,
T.B. ANDRE & Co. LTD.,
