Hg/Fm. X4117 EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}10/H29.5.33. re. GWX-29. Dr. Daniels, 46, Porchester Terrace, London.W.2. ('Phone. Paddington 0869). This gentleman and his wife called at the Works on Saturday morning, the 27th. inst., with the above car, of which he had only recently taken delivery. He was very annoyed, as the car had given continuous trouble and was very unsatisfactory. Carburation had been faulty, starting bad, and battery ignition failed. He also complained of axle noise and fumes in the body. He evidently bought the car from Car Mart (Stock) and did not like the body (Freestone & Webb) or its colour at the time, but is now more disgusted than ever. He carried on about the bad treatment he has received at London (Conduit Street, and Cricklewood). He did not want the car, in fact wanted his money back. He raved about the matter for a considerable time, in which his wife joined. He was annoyed with Cricklewood because he said they tried to convince him the car was alright, but finally had to agree features were wrong and were put right, finally sent him to Derby, much to his annoyance, expense and loss of car. He was also upset because Conduit Street would not lend him a car while his present one was having attention. I do not think, according to the evidence supplied, that he has much ground for his "service" complaint, as they had evidently done all they could His attitude was much more affable having assured him that we could and should make him quite CONT'D:- | ||
