Contd. -2- them to stick in guides, Brushes were cleaned and trimmed up and for the time being are O.K. New parts of shock absorbers painted. Air leak cured from screw in top of petrol tank. Monday. 9.2.20 - To Hyeres Toulon and return in the morning then to Cners and back in the afternoon. After each of these runs the rear shock absorbers were examined and the levers were found tobe quite tight on rotor shaft. The leather covers on top ends of connecting tubes both rub very lightly on the sides of luggage grid brackets. Tapets adjusted and mag. distributor cleaned. Tuesday 10.2.20 - Local runs all day to-day. Light piston knock on starting up which soon disappeared. Rear shock absorbers quite O.K. Wednesday. 11.2.20. - Piston knock hardly noticeable on starting up this morning. To Hyeres and return then to Beauvallon St Tropez and return. Car has run very well to-day Rear Shock absorbers appear quite O.K. No knock noticeable when engine is hot. Slight misfire on battery ignition when picking up. Slow running very good on either ignition. X.3482. Have had no further trouble with the nuts working loose on Michelin wheels. It is very difficult to get at the valve on rear wheels owing to large diameter of brake drums. X.3056. Mileage for the week is 515 making total 3476. Petrol consumption 210 litres. T.H. Maddocks.
