COPY. "NORTHENDENE", 20, NORTH SIDE, STREATHAM COMMON. LONDON. S.W.16. 5th April 1937. The Manager, Rolls-Royce, Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sir, PHANTOM III - CHASSIS NO. 3.AX-21. --------------------------------- With reference to our recent correspondence concerning trouble in the carburetter, I am informing you that since you had a new one fixed to my car the trouble has recurred and I am enclosing herewith a further report upon my driver. You will realise that this is most unpleasant and may eventually lead to a serious accident and, in my opinion, no trouble would be too much to take in order to put the matter right. I do not understand much about machinery, but what I gather is that the carburetter gets flooded and it is only when the overflow has run itself out that the engine can again function by the aid of the self-starter, and one may conclude, if I am right, that the change of carburetter cannot bring about the desired remedy for this very serious faulty mechanism. Please attend to this matter and I am expecting to hear from you as soon as possible, and meanwhile, I remain, Yours faithfully, (sgd) JOHN ROSSAGE. | ||
