To Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TMW. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TMW1/LG22.12.20. RE. CLUTCH HOLDING-OUT DEVICE. In regard to your Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}4/CB16.12.20. We have tried the wooden "T" piece for holding out the clutch and the only objection we have to it is that the foot plate, which is not very strong, is compelled to withstand the spring pressure when de-clutched. We cannot, however, recommend the use of any clutch holding-out device as we do not recognise the necessity for it with the fabric clutch. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TMW.
