Smalley Esq., The Limes, Castleton, Lancs. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letters of the 28th Oct: and 16th Nov: and regret the delay the replying. The little wooden piece which you refer to as being used for holding out the clutch, we consider is a very neat arrangement, though we find it a little difficult to operate because it does not quite fit the modern size of clutch pedal slot. We can see that it will be safer than the piece of wood under the nut on the steering column. If you like to leave us this little specimen, we will have one made which will fit the slot, and give it a trial. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Limited. | ||
