Both chassis. (11) Battery.
Will have 12 volt battery of present standard type and position underneath rear floor.
R.R.A.I. have accepted this position and the 12 volt system.
They are studying means for access to the battery on all body types.

Both chassis. Tools.(12)
Disposal of tools on expl. chassis to be left to the English coachbuilder supplying bodies.
We should like to make some suggestions for the reduction of the tool kit, as some of the parts now supplied are not of use to the American owner.

(13) Lubrication. Both chassis - possibly fitted after first assembly of first chassis.
(a) Extra lubrication at starting.
(b) Automatic lubrication of clutch coupling.
(c) Axles connected to central chassis lubrication system.

Both chassis. (14) Luggage Carrier.
No carrier to be fitted. Single rear spare wheel carrier to be fitted.

Both chassis. (15) Exhaust Cut-out.
To be omitted. The plate which replaces the cut-out should be dished, or otherwise, stiffened to avoid a "tinkling" exhaust. We found this on P.I.

Both chassis. (16) Governor.
R.R.A.I. have agreed to the governor.
Regarding the throttle stop for idling we understand that it is not proposed to supply this on either the experimental chassis or the 200 order. We have a proposed stop on 404 MR which we have shown to the design and expl. departments. We suggest that because of the general desire for such a device, it should be considered for future orders.

2nd chassis. (17) Accessories.
(1) Oil Filter. Auto Klean to be fitted on second expl. car. First car will not be fitted.

2nd chassis. (2) Air Cleaner. Will be fitted on second expl. car.

(3) Visible Oil Level Gauge. R.R.Ltd. do not agree to this. I have brought a sample instrument for consideration later.

Both chassis. (4) American Speedometer Drive.
Both chassis will be assembled with standard English instruments boards and speedometers.
