| K 261a ? RFS.P. 16th. July, 1935. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Heywood Esq., Messrs. Bentley Motors (1931) Ltd., Derby. Dear Mr. Heywood, Attached please find my car, No. 169.GW., and I should be glad if you would attend to the following items: 1. It pinks very badly, and I run normally with the spark half retarded. The fuel is National Benzol mixture. 2. The gear lever rattles. 3. The clutch rattles. 4. The lead to No. 5 cylinder is perished, and I suggest some of the others may be too. 5. The oil level indicator is inclined to stick. 6. There is an oil leak somewhere round about the oil filler. I have tried a new washer under this where it joins the crankcase, but there is still a leak. 7. The lubricator on the self-starter has lost it's top. 8. I would not mind a little more braking on the front wheels, and a little less on the back. I rang up Mr. Robotham last night, and asked him to warn you of the impending approach of the car, because if possible I should like to pick it up on Thursday evening on my return from London, and I want to go away with it on Friday for the week end. I have had some correspondence with your people in London about | ||
