A.W.Phillips, Esq.,

LONDON, S.W.1.

Dear Captain Phillips,

Many thanks for your letter of 5th. August. I will immediately go into the matter and see what we can do about a car for you from Aug. 27th. to the 17th. Sept.

I think there is no doubt at all that we shall be able to let you have a car for the Race, and I shall be very disappointed if we cannot fix you up for the whole of your holiday.

Unfortunately I am going to be in Scotland during the Race this year, and am leaving on the 31st. However, if you are coming to Derby on the 27th. I shall hope to see you before I go away.

I am so glad you got a good entry for the Race, but cannot help hoping that some day you will get back to the road circuit approaching the magnificent Ards course. If that ever happens I hope we shall be running.

Yours sincerely,
