Attached is letter from Capt. Phillips of the R.A.C., who is, of course, Competitions Manager.

Last year you will remember that you were good enough to lend him a Trials car to use on the day of the Race, and we should very much appreciate if you could do this again.

Regarding the car for his holiday, maybe in view of the overdrive box and other modifications to the chassis you will be short of Trials cars. We could lend him an experimental car, but I am always averse to doing this with knowledgeable people who are in a position to criticise, because inevitably there are many things about experimental cars for which we have to apologise.
