Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}22/KW. Icknield Street BIRMINGHAM·18 8th February 1934 Sole Manufacturers of THE GIRLING UNIVERSAL BRAKE. Messrs. Rolls Royce, Ltd., D E R B Y. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Robotham. We thank you for yours of the 6th inst., and we will carry out your suggestions and return axles to you with the Brakes fitted to them. On receipt of these you will fit them to a car, rig up temporary linkage and return chassis to us. We shall concentrate on finishing the job as rapidly as possible, and this at the outside should not take longer than 7 to 10 days. With regard to temporary linkage, the rods operating front brakes can be coupled direct to your servo, while the rods operating the rear brakes can be operated by lever on your hand brake cross shafts. We have a scheme in mind, but we cannot finalise same until we get the chassis, but you can rest assured that it will not take longer than the above mentioned time when we receive the car. Many thanks. Yours faithfully, for NEW HUDSON LTD., [Signature] WORKS MANAGER. | ||
