COPY. ESTATE OFFICE, WALTER HOUSE, 418-422, STRAND, W.C.2. Telephone Regent 1857. 15th. January 1925. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., 112, Cricklewood Lane, LONDON. N.W.2. Dear Sirs, Chassis No.91-HG. As I informed you on the 5th. inst., I have had the Houdaille shock absorbers fitted to this car with results that are quite astonishing. The car rides perfectly and I feel rather grieved that after my letter of the 28th. February last in which I suggested the fixing of Houdaille shock absorbers you have made various suggestions and made some attempts at improving it which have failed altogether to give the desired effect. I have been put to some expense and the car has run for some 10 or 11 months without the advantage of these shock absorbers. Had I not listened to your advice I should have been both in pocket and had a considerable degree of comfort for 10 to 11 months. I am writing this as I think it is only right that you should know what wonderful effect these shock absorbers have upon this car, and I presume equally upon other cars. You will remember your letter of the 18th. December in which you attributed the fault to the body, but nothing could now be more satisfactory than the running of this car. Yours faithfully, (Signed) p.p. J.W. Lorden. AB. | ||
