Re Chassis No. 91-HG. Lorden.
-------------------------

Attached herewith please find original letter dated the 15th. inst., from the above owner, which we have promised to forward to you.

This owner has complained several times about uncomfortable springing, viz: that he got road shocks at low speeds. He asked us in July if we would fit Houdaille shock absorbers. We told him that we did not think this would serve any useful purpose, as with standard springing and Hartford shock absorbers he ought to be able to get entirely satisfactory running.

In July we greased the springs and adjusted the shock absorbers, after which for a time the riding was quite satisfactory. At the end of last year, however, he again complained of the springing and said that he had decided to have Houdaille shock absorbers fitted.

We do not think that his letter will actually be of very great interest to you, as from our files it seems that the owner or the driver had quite settled in their own minds that they were not going to consider the springing satisfactory until shock absorbers of this type had been fitted. We presume that the best thing to do now is to leave matters as they are.

We shall be glad if you will return the letter in due course.

A.{Mr Adams}
