sufficiently strong spring and it is now necessary for us to see whether we can increase still further the power of the unit to cope with still stronger springs.

You may rest assured that no time will be lost in overcoming this difficulty as we fully appreciate that such flutter as your testers report is quite unacceptable. You will understand of course that this question of spring strength is purely a matter of compromise and that no fundamental problem is involved. It will probably be necessary for us to increase slightly the ampere turns on the operating winding of the Dipper unit and we are having some experimental coils wound immediately.
