Bearing in mind your conversation recently as regards the height of Chassis, and number of Passengers, question of Luggage etc., which you allow, when we were discussing 20-G-IV. I send you below an example of 20-HP. springing and the springs we fit and the clearances we should obtain. If these clearances are not obtained within reasonable limits, we get a report through from our final bodywork Inspector. GFT.59. Norton. 9 1/2 cwts. Enclosed Limousine, Passengers 6 maximum, Average 3/4, Luggage 1 1/2 cwts maximum, Average 1 cwt. One Spare Wheel at rear, Luggage Grid Type 2. Spare Wheel Carrier to Offside. Allow for 32 lbs. additional accessories in addition to Luggage Grid and Wheel Carrier. Road Springs being instructed,- Front 700 lbs. L.H. Side. Front 700+lbs. R.H. Side. Rear 1000 lbs. L.H. & R.H. Clearances we should obtain,- Front 1.950+.300-.300 Rear 3.600+.375-.375 Would you kindly let me have your comments on this, as we should follow the results of your test and keeping in mind that the Car should be kept low, but also the fact that if we are down on clearance we get a complaint of being continually on the buffers.
