Dear Sir,

Thank you for yours of yesterday's date. I would be only too glad to take a job of any kind no matter what the wage. I am 29 years old, 5'10" & am pretty strong.
During the latter part of the war I was in an engineering stores for about a year so if this would be any use I should be glad to know.
I am very quick & accurate at figures, & have had good clerical experience, but as I say, I do not mind how menial the work, so long as it is work.
