We have considered this matter for some time and we had hoped that some other suggestion might have been brought forward to counter the effect which you are getting at present, as any scheme incorporating the idea of a strangler automatic in two directions cannot be anything else but a costly modification. We take this opportunity of submitting for your consideration a rough drawing of an idea built around the present general shape of parts on the DC-42 carburetter, and we also append a description of how the assembly works.
