We have put the parts into the Works so that one carburetter can be made up according to this scheme, and we are also preparing a second carburetter built exactly as standard, but using a much thicker strangler plate. The latter arrangement might overcome the difficulties. We still think that the better way out of the present trouble is to use a strangler which is positively closed, and we shall be glad to know whether this has had your consideration and what disadvantages, in your opinion, it is likely to bring in its train.
