Dear Sir,
The College has been asked to set up an automobile laboratory in connection with the formation of an Air Cadet Corps in the town. The Governors had already decided to extend our Automobile Engineering in the Winter Session on account of the demand for training in this branch of engineering.
I am writing to ask if you could let us have a demonstration model of the Rolls Royce Engine, or failing that, an old engine, not too much out of date. We would undertake to set it up and keep it in condition.
We are expecting to fit up a laboratory for this purpose where we can demonstrate 10 or 12 different models.
Yours truly,
W. P. Powell
Principal.
