propose to lag the pipe lines and filter with asbestos and try again. whilst the test man is on. We have examined the box and as far as we can ascertain nothing is come adrift or loosened. Re the petrol pump sent out, we require particulars as to how the stroke should be set. A number of packing washers are attached to it. The front silencer sent out is lagged. We have run ours without the lagging and do not think it is necessary. The water thermometer had given out, we have changed it. The thermostat is not shaking but passing too much water through the release valve. Further tests on this will be made. The oil consumption has worked out at 1000 m.p.g. but a lot of oil do come out of the clutch pit. The petrol consumption for yesterday was (14.4 m p.g.) and for the first tank 12.75 M.P.G. average speed 53 M.P.H.
