Erratic charging was experienced on several occasions due to the brushes sticking in the holders. The battery charge was maintained throughout the mileage. Starter Motor. EL.2911 Buttress Thread Drive Motor No S.8.BFX. Quiet in operation and gave no trouble. Headlamps Horns & Fittings. LOP DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1109. Complete to above LOP Headlamp Pillars. Lucas H.F.Alto Horns. The headlamps were very powerful and effective and the dippers satisfactory. Several bulb filaments failed as a result of vibration. The dipper warning light on the instrument board was found distracting when concentration was needed. It was disconnected. It is quite unnecessary. The electric horns gave no trouble, but the note was rather harsh and tinny. Footswitch. LOP DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}695 R.R.Scheme.660. Existing, complete to above LOP & Scheme. There is a small spring which holds two arms together against a four lobe cam. This spring broke and one arm fell against the cover and caused an intermittent short circuit which blew the fuse of the dippers and O.S. headlamp. A simple insulated lining to the dipper switch cover would prevent a similar occurrence to an owner. Stop Lamp Switch. LOP DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}419. Existing, complete to above LOP.
