Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your esteemed favour dated the 22nd instant, reference as above, contents of which are of considerable interest to us. Since building a Marles Steering Gear to your requirements in 1926, although the main essentials of this gear have remained the same, yet we have introduced certain modifications, including roller bearings at each end of the Cam, and also roller bearings in the rocker shaft. We have further modified the method of adjustment of the roller into the cam, which previously was by means of an eccentric pin, and which is now replaced by a serrated pin carrying an eccentric bush. We are enclosing herewith a full size general arrangement drawing, our GA.2329, shewing our R.7 gear, which is the latest design of the same size of gear as was supplied to you in 1926, and we also enclose a booklet which illustrates and describes this latest design, and gives full particulars of adjustments etc. We trust that the enclosed literature will be found to give you full information regarding the gear, but we are of course at your service at all times for any further information which you may need, and we sincerely trust that we may receive - 1 - | ||
