In reply to your memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std.21/JH. 13.6.36.

Up to the present mileage, the rubber mounted thermometer has given us no trouble. It seems to be a distinct improvement on the solid type. There is less strain put on the tubing, and is more flexible as a whole. No chattering or noise has developed, and the complete unit is entirely satisfactory.

We will however, give the rubber etc., a thorough examination at the conclusion of the test.
