would unnecessarily cramp the driver and passenger.

Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} was asked to try and let LHS.{Lord Herbert Scott} have a wooden model of chassis of Goshawk II within a fortnight, or failing this to supply drawings immediately to enable a coachbuilder to do so.

(a) and (b) to be on agenda for next conference.

(4) 1a/52 Back Axle.

The blanks for above will be completed this week and sent to E.N.V.

This matter to be on next Agenda.

(5) Castrol Oil.

Agreed that this should not be recommended to customers and use of same discontinued, and the stock on hand at Sales be returned to W. for use on aero engines.

(6) Programme for 1922. Third Line.

Owing to the probable lack of money and rich people being heavily taxed all over the world during the next few years, it was agreed that there was a necessity for a popular model of R.R. car which a very large number of people could afford to buy, as the sale of cars of £1500 or more was extremely restricted.

Agreed that Sales should decide on some suitable model of chassis at present on the market as a sample of the kind of R.R. chassis which they feel they could sell in large numbers, and then inform R.{Sir Henry Royce} of this type and give full description, with a view to it considering whether such a chassis could be designed and made to cater for this larger market.

(7) Acetylene Welding for repairs etc.

It was stated that this method was never used at all and R.{Sir Henry Royce} are very much against use of it for repairs to castings etc.

(8) Present type of Magneto.

It was stated that the Watford type of magneto is steadily improving and it was agreed that we should not fit a Bosch magneto, or supply a customer with fittings to enable him to do so.

This matter to be on agenda for next conference.
