-3- Clearance of Swan Necks. It was agreed that W. will at once start supplying cars on which the height of the swan neck above the frames does not exceed the .250 dimension given on the coachbuilder's drawing. (10) Improved method of holding lids on Battery Boxes. Experimental Dept. have now got the design, and parts are being made and will be submitted to R.{Sir Henry Royce} this week, and FN. will examine these at S. next week. This matter to be on agenda for next conference. (11) Dynamo cutting in earlier. No progress has been made so far as Smiths are concerned, as they cannot be relied on either for quietness of running, or finance. An experimental dynamo, roughed out to R's ideas, is being made up from motor parts for use with vibrator control, the design of which is now in R's hands for criticism. This matter to be on agenda for next conference. (12) Repaired cars, obtaining payment for same before cars leave Repair Shop. Agreed that the following should be submitted for the consideration of the Board:- (a) At Nice no credit be given. (b) No credit be given if only Hotel adress be given by client and number of chassis must always be taken. (c) At Paris it should be left to Paris Directors, with an intimation of what is done here. (d) If any repair bill amounts to over £50, D's Department should begin to make enquiries at once as to solvency of customer and in case of doubt it should be referred to CJ. and a decision arrived at before delivery notes are sent to Repair Dept. (13) Paying for storing etc. of chassis already off test, and not sent away from N. It was agreed that C. and D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} should come to some mutual agreement about this. | ||
