R.R. 493A (50 M) (D.D. 31. 12-6-25) J.H.D. EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. X5770 REF: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/LG25 9.25. To B.J. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DELIVERY OF 'INDIA'. X5770 (X5370 - crossed out) During our last visit to R, there was not sufficient time to discuss points on 'India' chassis. We are proposing to make another visit next week. In the meantime, investigations are going on to overcome the troubles and complaints. We are now satisfied that the trouble with the servo jagger and servo rattle which occurred on 9-G-111, is not likely to occur on the production cars. Since 9-G-111 has returned we have made this car similar to the production cars and these troubles have entirely disappeared. We looked upon servo jagger and the servo rattle as the most serious complaint on 9-G-111. The steering is no different as regards road shocks and wandering to all 20 HP. cars which have been produced. We do not hold out any hope of being able to improve this until we get an improved design steering. We suggest it would be useful if we had a note from Sales giving briefly the points on the 'India' cars which they are dissatisfied with and which they consider must be altered before cars can be delivered.
