R.H. 499a (50 H) (D.D. 31, 12-6-25) J.H.D. EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. V5770 REF: Hsl / LG24 9.25. To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} } FROM HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} To TMW. Referring to our last visit to W.W., the following urgent jobs are required on 20 HP. 1. We should try a plain bearing in place of the ball bearing at the top of the pivot. This should be made as large a diameter as possible. 2. We should try a side steering tube in which the springs are not set up to prevent low speed steering wobbles. We should also xx try springs at both ends of the side steering tube. 3. We urgently require the slower steering on the 20 HP. This has the different nut and worm suitable for the standard box. 4. We also require a fitting for fixing the steering to the dashboard on 10-G-111. The cap should be made of steel instead of aluminium. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} will be instructing this.
