DELIVERY OF 'INDIA'. (Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/LG25.9.25).

We shall be glad to hear as soon as possible whether the production cars are to be altered before they are delivered to customers.

Please see page 2 of the Minutes of Conference held on the 16th September with R.{Sir Henry Royce}, (BJ10/H17.9.25), page 2, which sets out the points which we shall be glad if you will discuss with R.{Sir Henry Royce}

Doubtless you will also be considering whether any alterations should be made to the production cars before they are sent to customers in regard to servo rattles, servo jagger and whistle from carburetter throttle.

In mentioning these specific items we do not suggest that they are the only items which we consider should receive consideration in regard to future production; we only suggest them in regard to cars which we are waiting to deliver to customers. It is difficult for us to tell how far any of the items mentioned are likely to give trouble to the customer, and for that reason would suggest that it might be discussed with R.{Sir Henry Royce} to arrive at a final decision as to whether any alterations are necessary.

We attach a copy of OWB4/LH{Mr Haworth}22.8.25, with remarks in the margin.
