X819 To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} E.3/HP.25.5.34. Metal Floorboards. Replying to your memo HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/KW.25.5.34 we originally envisaged the particular point you raise with regard to the coachbuilding side, and we made the pressed floorboards to a fixed length which will suit any kind of body that is likely to be made for a Bentley chassis, the space between the ends of the floorboards and the body outline being filled by the body sills. As a matter of fact we have already been over this same point with EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} and made an alteration to the plan outline of these boards at EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}'s suggestion to suit all types of body work, and so far as we are aware the detail drawings have been altered. Subject to EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}'s confirmation I think the standardisation sheet can be issued. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
