Mr. Purvés,
L. M & S. Carriage and Wagon Dept.
Derby.

Dear Sir,

We understand that the L.M.& S. have obtained a new system of voltage control for the dynamos used in train lighting.

As we are interested in all forms of such control in connection with our chassis dynamos we should be much obliged if you could give us the opportunity of coming to your Works and having a talk with your engineers regarding the merits of this new controller as compared with the more usual vibrator regulator control.

We understand that the system employed on the L.M & S is fully patented but we are anxious to get an idea of the principle of operation.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
