1256. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Mths.{Reg Matthews}2/MH.{M. Huckerby} 19th. March 1938. The Light Production Co. Ltd., 60/66, Rochester Row, Westminster, LONDON. S.W.1. For the attention of Mr.C.H.Brooks. Dear Sirs, We are to-day despatching a set of 12 Merlin Pistons which we should like tin plating as previously. The results of the preliminary tests on the Merlin, I believe were more or less satisfactory and they now require a complete set for acceptance tests. The car pistons are still operating satisfactorily and we are now considering the possibilities of standardising pistons treated in this manner. We are sorry to keep troubling you with small quantities and breaking into your production but we really appreciate the help you have always given to us. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
