X. 3383 - BALL BEARING IN PLACE OF ROLLER BEARINGS ON EPICYCLIC GEAR.

Theball bearings on the "Eagle" have now completed 30 hours running. They are still in very good condition. The ball bearings on the "Condor" have completed 9 hours. We have fitted up another "Eagle" engine with 2 ball bearings and 1 roller bearing so that we can get a direct comparison under the same conditions of running.
