X2200 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}14/KW. 11th February, 1935. Messrs. Borg & Beck Ltd., Leamington, Warwickshire. For the attention of Mr. Barker. Dear Sirs, We send you herewith a drawing of our standard Bentley clutch and also of our adaptation of your 10" clutch to a simple disc flywheel. We understand you consider it essential that the driven member splines should not be offset. If in your recommended layout you wish to push the gearbox shaft nose bearing further into the crankshaft we shall be willing to do this, and also to manufacture a new shaft. We do not want to alter our throw-out bearing or the clutch bell housing. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
