Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} r 740. Pistons Overoiling on PII S Herewith HCB July 2. & B'tu July 3. It is rather alarming that "overoiling" has already shown up on PII S. It is just possible this may have been partly due to sloppy intake due to water heated manifold. We shall learn more later. If you have an overoiling PII could you just drill holes through the back of the bottom groove & tell us whether it is a cure? Bear in mind probably all these cars are using Mobiloil A same as 24 EX in France. Would be interested to know the oil consumption on 24 EX. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} The Drg shows holes drilled at back of ring (please check) Ay July 28/30. | ||
