20HP CHASSIS.
TORQUE REACTION DAMPING.
SECTION 5000. ENGINE SUSPENSION.

Will you kindly note that CJ. has agreed that we shall order up 100 sets of the above material on the strength of signatures attached to a memo by EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and myself, to the effect that we do not consider it will affect the reliability of the car, and it is not necessary, in our opinion, for it to run 10,000 miles. The signatures in question have been given, CJ's agreement has been received and therefore we are now in the position to go ahead and instruct up without delay 100 sets of the first and temporary type of damper.

In the meantime Mr Shelton should develop details for the new scheme and arrange for same to be handed over to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, for experiment. We will have to watch conditions in the Works and see that instructions for a further 100 are issued in sufficient time to keep the Works going, unless in the meantime Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} agrees to the new design being standardised and produces a signed standardisation sheet.
