built on the twist, that is, they found it impossible to make the doors close properly by the usual methods, and we believe one of the doors had to be taken off and the position of the hinges altered in order to make the door close correctly.

(6) There is no efficient form of gas sealing between pedal gap plate and the side of the scuttle.

(7) The instrument board as supplied by Park Wards was not in accordance with our drawing D.74847. It is possible that the design as shown on the above drawing is not found by the coachbuilders to be a practical proposition. This drawing has been in the possession of the coachbuilders for some considerable time and we think we should have known earlier than this whether it was possible to make a board like it. We should be glad if you would take this up with Park Wards and let us know their views.

(8) The diagonal stays at the rear of the body were fitted we understand in accordance with our design scheme. It was found that the stay on the offside of the body fouled the casting on the top of the petrol tank which takes the petrol pipe and the position of the stay had to be altered accordingly.

(9) The internal wiring of the body had apparently never been tested before the body was despatched. A dead short was found on one of the traffic indicator wires and a large amount of work was necessary to put this right.

(10)Considerable difficulty was encountered in mounting the front wings because we had no records of any sort showing the dimensions of the wings on the finally agreed mock-up. No allowance had been made in the wings for the two bolt heads on either side of the radiator shell. It was apparent that these had not been incorporated in the mock-up at Park Wards.
