261a 9th September, 1941. 1.4/ET. Richard SUMMERS, Esq., Shotton, C H E S T E R.{Sir Henry Royce} Dear Dick, Thank you for your letter of 4th September. Much though I should like to help you with the engine of your car, I am not in a position to do so. All the tackle for line reaming bearings, etc., is at Hyde Road in London, and if ever we want to renew the bearings of the experimental cars, we now have to send the crankcase down there. As they have a hundred cars on the waiting list, we generally have great difficulty in getting even our own jobs done with reasonable expedition. Short therefore of suggesting that you exchange your car for one with a smaller mileage, I am very much afraid I cannot help you. Yours, | ||
