Revision of the air vessel scheme for the 'SS' centralised chassis lubrication system.

With reference to BY/CGH{W Clough}1/G15.4.29., probably the best way is to revise the scheme of air vessel, and we send you herewith N.sch.2887 shewing the existing junction piece converted into an air vessel. This is because we presume that all the brake camshaft bearing brackets are made. If it were not so the air vessel appears to stand too high above this bracket and by slight modifications to it the original arrangement could be used. Obviously a hole could be drilled in the gusset plate, but we do not think this looks very logical. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
