-2- BY/Cgn.1/G.4.10.35. (6) Flywheel and clutch to be as already instructed, as per H.Schs. 4571 and 4578, and to include the greater inertia flywheel. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} is to give us particulars of the modified clutch and the modified driven member for this clutch. (7) Clutch linings to be in V.M.20. (8) Brake linings to be in F.B.A. (9) Servo linings to be in V.M.30. (10) Pads are to be arranged on the front and rear axles, if this has not already been done, to suit D.W.S. jacks. (11) Gearbox front suspension to be as per H.Sch.4460, but modified to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2004. (12) Rear mounting of the gearbox to be as per H.Sch.4463. (top scheme). (13) The gearbox stay at the front end is to be of the short type. (14) The rough edges of the servo linings, after they have been cut for the keyways, should be removed. An instruction to this effect should be given on the detail drawing. (15) The bolts which secure the flexible plates of the servo should be locked. We understand that castellated nuts have now been instructed for production. (16) H.Sch.4606 should be incorporated in order to avoid certain fouls on the servo. We understand this has already been instructed for production. (17) Exhaust manifolds should have radiating fins. (18) The engine timing gears should be ground, and the dynamo driving pinion should be as per Lec.2614. | ||
