R.J.HARDY 11/3. To Mr... from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} c. By (struck through) c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} -------------------- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}11/N.24.8.39. -------------------- Wraith Chassis WHC-40. New Car - Owners: Car Mart. -------------------- The above car has been in store at Car Marts - London. One of their driver's was instructed to take it to St.Albans for storage, but noticing that there was a bad gear noise called in N. for investigation. The engine gears gave a pronounced whine, uncoupling the dynamo made no improvement. It was decided to send the car back to the Works for attention. GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} P.S. A second Wraith just sold has been sent to N. for engine gear whine. It would appear that the fabroil gear is swelling during the time the car is at the Coachbuilders, investigation would prove whether this is the case. | ||
